This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains MotionCut’s practices regarding refunds, cancellations, and deferrals for our self-paced internship programs. By enrolling in any MotionCut program, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Refund Eligibility
- Pre-Start Full Refund
- You may request a 100% refund of your enrollment fee if you cancel within 7 days of payment and before your cohort’s official start date.
- Week 1 Partial Refund
- If you cancel after your cohort’s start date but within the first week, you are eligible for a 50% refund of your enrollment fee.
- No Refund After Week 1
- Cancellations after the first week of your cohort are not eligible for any refund.
2. Deferral & Transfer Options
- One-Time Deferral
- Instead of a refund, you may choose to defer your enrollment to the next available cohort at no additional cost, provided you submit your deferral request before the start of Week 2.
- Track Transfers
- If you wish to switch tracks (e.g., from Python to Web Development) within the first week, contact support to transfer your enrollment. Any fee difference between programs will be charged or refunded pro-rata.
3. Non-Refundable Items
- Transaction Fees: Any bank or payment-gateway fees incurred during your payment are non-refundable.
- Scholarships & Discounts: If you enrolled using a scholarship or promo code, refunds will be calculated on the net amount paid after discounts.
4. How to Request a Refund or Deferral
- Submit a Request:
- Email motioncut@outlook.com with the subject line “Refund Request” or “Deferral Request.”
- Include your full name, email, program name, cohort start date, and reason for cancellation/deferral.
- Acknowledgment:
- We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day.
- Processing:
- Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 7 business days of approval.
- You may see the refunded amount on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- Deferral confirmations and updated cohort details will be emailed within 2 business days.
5. Exceptions & Special Circumstances
- Medical or Emergency Leave: If you experience a verified medical emergency or other serious circumstance, please contact support with documentation. We may grant a pro-rata refund or additional deferral at our discretion.
- Program Cancellation: If MotionCut cancels a cohort or discontinues a program, you will receive a 100% refund of your enrollment fee or automatic transfer to the next available cohort.
6. Changes to This Policy
MotionCut may update this Policy from time to time. We will post any changes here with an updated “Effective date.” Your continued enrollment or access after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.
